Social Networking..Does it make you a bad parent?

I just read an interesting headline on AOL so I thought I would click on it and read it. I posted it to share with everyone. I don't agree with some of the people's comments on there (a few are mean and extremely rude). I personally love my blog and have met some great moms through it and wouldn't trade it for anything. But there are always a few people out there that always like to bring someone down, well it is not working. I know I am a great mom and would do anything for my family and people being ignorant and pigheaded not to mention simpleminded need to go stick there head back in the sand. Just thought I would share with you to see if you found the article and comments interesting.

Hmmm...I don't even know what to say to the article or to people's ignorant comments without flying off the handle. I had better just keep my opinions to myself : )

I read the first paragraph and then closed the screen. I didn't even entertain the anger. I just laugh. I watch 'Dirty Jobs' and I told Matt, Mike should try being a SAHM as a show. It would be funny. My kids are pretty easy so my house wouldn't be interesting, but maybe if he did like a family of multiples?

In reference to the writer of the article...
You could say, "Oh the life of an internet article writer. Gets to sit on their tuff all day and write what ever comes to mind that day whether informative or just plain poop. They don't have to worry about anyone drinking water out of the toilet, drawing on their walls, spilling their coffee on the carpet or pooping in their beds and rolling in it. They just get to type, type, type, type, type, type and chit chat ALL DAY LONG!! Oh the life of an idiot article writer. Must be nice."

Maybe I am an idiot myself, but after reading through the whole post, I think she is actually just asking a question and not being judgemental. I think she was just saying how we as mom's really do crave stimulation from someone over the age of 10. I think she was saying how no one is on the backs of dad's who enjoy going and playing golf. Anyways, I'm off to Wal-Mart to seek stimulation and to spend money that husband of mine works so hard for!! ;) haaha It's my job after all.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Ben sure wishes he still had a "work horse" like your hubbie around the store! Hope all is going well with you and your family.

I read the article and my opinion is... Everything in Moderation. Anything in excess is bad for you and your family. Too much blogging is bad, too much Facebook is bad, but hey, too much coddling is bad too! I think an entire day of One-on-One attention is not good for a kid either. They need to spend some time playing by themselves and using their own imagination. And THERE is my computer time!

Hi Danielle,

We had a blast at Disney World! I used several things to help me plan. www.tourguidemike.com was well worth the $25

www.allears.net
www.disboards.com
I also checked out some planning books from the Library.

It is very overwhelming at first but then it got easier as I read more and more. Hope this helps! Happy Planning!
